IBEX 4801 T-6A Texan II
IBEX is a an off-spring from IsraDecal Studios in Israel. Its new T-6A Texan II kit comes with two sprues of injection-molded plastic, a bag of resin, two vacuformed canopies and an impressive decal sheet. The external detailing on the injected plastic parts is superb although the engraved panel lines are are not as fine as on a Hasegawa kit, but definitely more than acceptable. The sidewalls on the inside of the fuselage halves received a fair amount of detailing, while instrument panels feature good detail with dial outlines that are ready for the instrument decals supplied with the sheet. The plastic parts do not have any ejector pin marks nor do they feature sink areas. Resin is used for some of the more complex molds such as the ejection seats, spinner, cowling, wheels and exhausts. The casting is flawless – typical IsraCast standards. The two vacuformed canopies are quite clear and are molded in plastic, which is thick enough to be easily attached.
